Translator/interpreter

Both foreign language correspondence clerks and multi-lingual secretaries have the opportunity to specialise further in order to become a translator or interpreter. The length of the additional training depends on the number of languages to be taken in the examination.
In the translator modules, translation techniques and translations into and from the foreign language are practised intensively. In the interpreter modules, the focus is on interpreting techniques as well as practice in the different types of interpreting.
