TOEFL Preparation courses

Registration fee: € 20
Includes: Placement test, Internet access (three computer rooms, 50 computers, WLAN), use of library, certificate.
Lesson material: Approx. € 35 per 100 TH. The books may be purchased or hired (with a deposit) from the Academy.
Participants: 3-10: When requested by participants, F+U will provide a course even if the minimum number of participants is not reached. The number of teaching hours will be reduced by 25% in the case of two participants and by 50% in the case of one participant. As compensation, the lesson may be taken in another group.

Information about TOEFL

The Test of English as a Foreign Language™ (TOEFL®) measures the ability of nonnative speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written, and heard in college and university settings (in Germany and in the USA, among others). Fees

Exam fee: 225 US$ (from July 1st 2009)

Payment

All payments for tests and services must be paid in full and be made within 90 days. Preferred Forms of Payment: Credit/debit card (required online) – American Express®, Discover®, JCB®, MasterCard®, or VISA®. Other Accepted Forms of Payment
Personal paper check or money order payable to ETS-TOEFL iBT. (Post-dated checks are not accepted). Euro checks drawn on a bank in the same European country as the currency.

Registration

a) Online
Register anytime — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Spell your name exactly as it is spelled on the identification you will bring on test day.
Pay with a credit/debit card: American Express®, Discover®, JCB®, MasterCard®, or Visa®. Or, use an electronic check (e-check) if you have a bank account in the United States or its territories.
Registration closes 7 days before your test date.
Late registration closes 3 days before your test date (not including the day of the test) and has a late fee of US$25.

b) By Phone
Spell your name exactly as it is spelled on the identification you will bring on test day.

Download and fill out a Registration Form that you find on www.ets.org/toefl. Spell your name exactly as it is spelled on the identification you will bring on test day.
See list of payment methods on the form and choose one. Send the form with your payment to the address on the form or to your Regional Registration Center (see point b).
Forms must be received at least 4 weeks before your earliest test date.
If you do not receive a confirmation, call the location where you mailed your paperwork – at least 3 business days before your deadline.
