General information on accommodation and transfer

• Board:
  • With guest families according to the booking
  • In all halls of residence / apartments there is a kitchen. For anyone not wishing to self-cater, meals can be taken in our school canteen or in our partner restaurants: Breakfast: € 40/week; half board: € 95/week; full board: € 150/week.

• All halls of residence and most apartments are equipped with wireless connection. Many families offer Internet usage at no charge, others for a small fee. Some families do not have Internet; however, it is possible to use wireless connection at the school at no charge. Also, students can use our three computer rooms which contain 50 computers and are open from 07:30-20:00 (Mo-Fr) and from 10:00-18:00 (Sat).

• Move in: Sundays (09:00-24:00), move out: Saturdays (until 12:00). Moving in or out outside these times is possible only on request and subject to a surcharge. Please inform us of your exact time of arrival by the Saturday prior to course start, 15:00 the latest. If you inform us any later, we cannot guarantee the key handover on Sunday. In case of delay, please contact your host family or contact person assigned to your key handover.

• Cancellation of the rooms or apartments is possible any time as long as you give us two weeks notice before the day that you want to move out.

• Cleaning of rooms and common areas: Please note that you are responsible for the cleaning of your room for the entire duration of your stay. F+U or the host family attend only to the cleaning of the common rooms (twice a week in the halls of residence) and to the final cleaning of the room.

• Cleaning of laundry: Included if host family booked. A coin-operated washing machine is available in every hall of residence (except “Bähr”).

• Bed linen, towels: Bed linen will be provided, towels have to be brought.

• Rules of conduct: It is not allowed to smoke in the halls of residence or in apartments. Please leave the kitchen in a clean state and do not forget to wash the dishes. At host family accommodation, please adhere to the rules of the family. The rest periods at night (from 22:00 to 06:00) are enforced by law. During these times, all noise has to be reduced to a low volume.

• Transfer to accommodation (on lesson days to school on request):

• Childcare: € 12/hour. Discount on request for groups of children. Please enquire at least one week prior to the start of the course.
• Parking: Free parking possible at F+U hall of residence “Concordia” (approx. 1 km from the school). In the school building there is a public, chargeable car park. Tickets can be hired from F+U and cost € 50/week (Deposit of € 100 required). Please enquire at least one week prior to the start of the course.
